Watch InterviewIt has always been my dream to fly, which first led me to consider a career as an airline pilot. Today, I express this passion via flight simulation and immersion in the aerospace industry.
This fascination grew alongside my academic curiosity, motivating me to enter Portugal’s most competitive engineering program in Aerospace Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico. I graduated high school with an average of 19.13/20 and moved from a rural village to Lisbon to pursue my degree.
During my MSc, I undertook an Erasmus semester at the Technical University of Munich focusing on aircraft propulsion and systems engineering. I also joined “BLUE”, a student project designing micro turbojets for UAVs.
In summer 2024, I interned at ANAC, Portugal’s Civil Aviation Authority, developing software to predict UAS flight paths after critical failures, contributing to certification processes. This was my first experience making a meaningful technical impact.
