As part of Aerotéc, I am currently leading the design and optimization of radial impeller and diffuser components for a student-developed micro turbojet engine. My responsibilities include:
- Developing MATLAB scripts to calculate blade geometry, flow paths, pressure ratios, and performance parameters for the centrifugal compressor.
- Creating detailed 3D CAD models of impeller and diffuser components in SolidWorks and Siemens NX, integrating aerodynamic efficiency with manufacturing constraints and structural integrity considerations.
- Conducting CFD simulations in Star-CCM+ to validate impeller performance, analyze flow separation, and optimize blade angles to meet design targets.
- Ensuring system-level integration of the compressor with combustion chamber and turbine sections to balance overall engine performance.
